Howard Irving Chapelle was an american naval architect and curator of maritime history at the Smithsonian Institution. He wrote many books on marine architecture. Chapelle was a close friend of famous ship modeler Alfred S Brownell and this blueprint comes from Brownell’s archives. Signed lower right Chapelle, H..
